Way back in 2017, I designed an alien-roach bounty hunter gunslinger. It was for an illustration festival contest depicting a “most wanted” intergalactic original character. I couldn’t really finish it back then, but now, here it is, as dangerous as it looks. The collection of law enforcers’ badges on his chest should speak for him. You can check the process below.
THUMBNAIL EXPLORATION SKETCH
As usual, the thumbnail sketch was quite expressive and clean; however, as it evolved into the middle sketch, some problems would arise.

MIDDLE SKETCH.
Even though many details appeared cleaner here, the whole character was formed of the same kind of lines, even the scarf. I had the brief idea to make one of his middle arms longer, but it did not express anything in particular; it almost looked like a mistake in proportions. All this was adjusted in the final art, including longer legs.
