“My aunt was talking noisily with my mother next to the main door. So when Holly looked at me climbing down the stairs, she put her backpack on the floor and rushed to meet me.
She walked, imitating a zombie, arms hanging and rolling her eyes. She then made me a gesture with her tongue, mimicking her mother, and I couldn’t help to giggle.“
– Where did you find that? – I said, when I realized what she was holding, was the “twin sister” of the wand I had found.
– This is mine – She said, eyes fixed on the object. It caught my attention when she said “mine.”, did we own those things now?
“Come into the light,” – She said as I approached.
“Pay close attention to it,” – She touched the surface with her fingertips. I stared at it until it reminded me of something.
“What does it look like?”
“Well, it seems like the moon. Doesn’t it?”
“Exactly! It’s a tiny moon replica!” – She said, eyes wide open.
I am releasing my first short story illustrated book, Spanish version (English version coming soon) “Bajo la Vieja PanaderÃa”. This is a very special first achievement for me, since the story is dedicated to my daughter, who asked me “Daddy, what is happening there?” back then in 2021, on the “Pressure” Inktober prompt entry.
