“GOLDEN” An Inktober Short Story

As a kid, I only heard stories about this place; now, I am here. I have left my hometown, crossed the sea, and came to the land I’d dreamt to see, but to do something terrible, not only to these people but to myself.

We managed to unlock the temple doors without trouble, which was very unexpected given the resistance we had faced until then. I was in the front group, so as the tall doors opened, I was among the first to look inside.

Under the Old Bakery – Of Books and Secret Plans

“My aunt was talking noisily with my mother next to the main door. So when Holly looked at me climbing down the stairs, she put her backpack on the floor and rushed to meet me.

She walked, imitating a zombie, arms hanging and rolling her eyes. She then made me a gesture with her tongue, mimicking her mother, and I couldn’t help to giggle.

Under the Old Bakery – And there was a forest.
