Inktober 2024 – “RIDGE”

This is a very special illustration, which depicts one of the most famous legends of my home country, El Salvador. The Cipe or “Cipitio,” is said to be the mischievous spirit of a cursed boy, who wanders the countryside causing all kinds of trouble. Stories are told of him doing naughty things like stealing fruit (specially bananas), eating the ashes of the woodfired stoves, or throwing pebbles at beautiful young women. And no, I haven’t drawn his feet wrong.

Inktober 2024 – “HORIZON”

This scene was originally conceived for the prompt word “BEAST” of last year’s Inktober, where three original characters were going on a quest to hunt a supernatural beast. Back in that year, I was writing a short story for each prompt-word, and this was probably the most ambitious of them in such a way that I couldn’t finish neither the story nor the illustration. But now it’s here.
