Here’s a remake of a funny t-shirt design I made originally in 2012. A co-worker was leaving for the U.S. branch where I worked back then, and this was more like an internal joke between him and his pals. They asked me to do the illustration, and this was the result:
“THE FIRE GUITAR” – A Short Story
Written and Illustrated by Luis Roding
Reading time: 8 minutes
We made sure the six of us gathered around the fire. Only Mary’s closest friends. The sun was set, the tide was low, and now, thanks to Melanie and Rita, who fooled the other guys away from this part of the beach, we were ready to begin.

Under the Old Bakery – From tears to laughter
“-I am sorry, sweetheart. I did not mean to intrude. I just remembered when I was your age, some kids used to do hideous pranks on Halloween – My mother stopped talking and started to sniff. The movement of the box made the smell spread.“
Under the Old Bakery – Turmoil at the 41 Av Bakery

“My aunt was talking noisily with my mother next to the main door. So when Holly looked at me climbing down the stairs, she put her backpack on the floor and rushed to meet me.

Under the Old Bakery – Granny’s Secrets
“Come into the light,” – She said as I approached.
“Pay close attention to it,” – She touched the surface with her fingertips. I stared at it until it reminded me of something.

“Exactly! It’s a tiny moon replica!” – She said, eyes wide open.
“Bajo la Vieja PanaderÃa” Vol. 1 “Pay de DÃa de Brujas”
I am releasing my first short story illustrated book, Spanish version (English version coming soon) “Bajo la Vieja PanaderÃa”. This is a very special first achievement for me, since the story is dedicated to my daughter, who asked me “Daddy, what is happening there?” back then in 2021, on the “Pressure” Inktober prompt entry. This book is the answer to her question.
