Inktober 2024 – “BACKPACK”

I still remember, from those school years, feeling that some of my backpacks were like home. Check the creative process below.

My original idea was to do a teenage girl wearing the house-shaped backpack in the style of Loish (a homage), but after doing this first exploration sketch, I found other reference photographs.

Then this curly hair girl caught my attention and after doing her sketch, I liked it more than my original Loish homage idea. So I stuck with this one:

Lastly, I just did a larger house sketch, to get used to its parts and details:

Then, I made the pencil sketch at the scale of the final art.
